Monthly On Going Life Release Program
An On-Going Program to Foster Life, Health & Accumulate Merit
Led by Lama Drimed Lodro
Dear fellow Buddhist:
I would like to invite you to participate in an extraordinary activity of animal release & life saving ceremony on a regular basis. Following in the tradition established at Larong Metropolis Buddhist University under the late His Holiness Jigme Phuntsog Rinpoche, I made an aspiration to establish a similar foundation and practice in America for the sole purpose of saving lives.
For as little as one dollar per day, each member is asked to contribute up to $30 per month. The entire amount of your offering will be used for purchasing the appropriate animals or bait to be released on a monthly basis. I will personally conduct all the associated ceremonies and you are welcome to join in the ceremonies, as well.
As a token of appreciation and encouragement, all members will receive a newly translated ritual text composed by the omniscient Mipham Rinpoche along with a brief teaching on the merit of life saving, free of charge. I would like to stress the importance of this activity as indicated in Mipham Rinpoche’s commentary on Merit of the Three Supreme Jewels. He writes, “from the initial path of taking refuge as a Buddhist, one needs to diligently amass merit until one reaches the ultimate result of complete & perfect enlightenment”. Life release is an essential, effective and convenient method for Buddhists to cultivate great compassion and generate merit.
For those who wish only to purchase the text and engage in this activity on your own, you may do so by making a one time donation of $15 to the foundation.
I sincerely encourage all fellow Buddhists to participate in these meritorious activities; I pray that you will never be separated from the Three Jewels for this and every future life and pray that the Three Jewels bring forth correct and pure view in your mindstream. I pray that you may quickly obtain swift liberation & realization of your nature, as it is.
