Lama Drimed Lodro will continue a series of teachings based on the text “The Great Perfection Buddha in the Palm of the Hand,” which is the essence of the Nam Cho Space Treasure.
Lama Drimed will give foundational teachings on the preliminary practices, Ngondro, which focus on the purification of the body, speech and mind through the outer common preliminaries as well as the inner uncommon preliminaries.
Lama Drimed will give practical instructions on how one engages in Ngondro practices such as The Four Thoughts, Refuge & Bodhicitta, Mandala Offering, Vajrasattva Purification, Guru Yoga for devotion, and Phowa – transference of consciousness.
The text for this Ngondro, and an excellent, extensive commentary by Venerable Gyatrul Rinpoche, will be available at the Mirror of Wisdom Bookstore during the teachings for those wishing to seriously undertake this preliminary practice, which prepares one’s mind for higher teachings. This will be a great workshop for both beginning students who are new to the Vajrayana, as well as a refresher course for experienced students of this Ngondro.
“Buddha in the Palm of the Hand signifies that the possibility of enlightenment is with you always, never farther away than the palm of your hand. From the time of Avalokiteshvara, the Great Compassionate One, the untainted transmission of this teaching and practice has been maintained unbroken by their revealer, Terton Migyur Dorje.”
